A 6-yr-old boy has tragically died after he got into difficulty in a swimming pool at a hotel on Sunday evening.
The boy was using the pool at the Tullamore Court Hotel in Co Offaly when the incident happened.
He was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital and then transferred to Crumlin Hospital in Dublin.
However, tragically, it’s been confirmed that the little boy passed away today.
Gardaà and the Health and Safety Council are carrying out investigations.
