A woman added in her 50s has been killed and two others badly injured after a car hit them at 1:10am in Cork overnight.
The incident happened when the pedestrians left a premises in the village of Ballingeary. The woman was in her early 50s.
Her body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place in due course.
Two other women were also taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries. The three women had been talking to each other prior to the collision.
The driver, a man in his 40s, and the passenger of the car were not injured from the incident.
It is understood that all involved were known to each other.
The street where the incident took place is cordoned off for a technical examination.
