A 10-year-old boy reportedly died inside Verruckt, the world’s tallest water slide, yesterday.
The 17-story high slide opened to the public in 2014, and is part of Kansas City’s Schlitterbahn Water Park. Its name translates as ‘Insane’ in German.
The boy, named locally as Caleb Thomas Schwab, was the son of local Republican representative Scott Schwab.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear.
The park was closed yesterday, and will remain shut today.
