A high school teacher in New York has been arrested and is facing serious jail time after she allegedly administered a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to an underage student in her home.
According to the BBC, police say Laura Russo administered the dose at her home despite having no legal authorization to give jabs, no medical training to do so, or the required consent from the 17-year-old boy’s parents.
Authorities have also said it is unclear how Ms. Russo obtained the alleged Covid vaccine, or what brand it is but the 54-year-old biology teacher, who was arrested on New Year’s Eve, could now face four years in prison if convicted.
