A powerful quake rocked the central regions of Italy this morning, killing at least 18, and injured dozens more.
The quake’s epicentre was pinpointed around 10km southeast of Norcia, and tremors were felt as far as Rome, 160km away.
At least 10 people from the town of Pescara are confirmed dead, while the rest of the victims are from neighbouring villages.
According to local media, the town of Amatrice in the Lazio region has been completely flattened by the event.
