Road carnage continues, after an elderly man dies in a two-vehicle collision in Meath

There seems to be no end to tragedy on our roads, as a 91-year-old man sadly lost his life in a collision between a car and a truck on Tuesday.

The incident happened on the R147 at Pace, Dunboyne, at approximately 12.55pm yesterday afternoon.

The driver of the car, a 91-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Connolly Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The truck driver only sustained minor injuries, but was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
