22-yr-old Dubliner sentenced for Ryanair air rage

A Bristol court has sentenced a 22-year-old Dubliner to 4 months in prison for drunken air rage on a
Ryanair flight. Adam Lennon, from Baldoyle, was not present for his sentencing and is believed to be
in Ireland, reports the Mirror.

According to the Mirror, during a flight from Murcia, Spain to Dublin on New Year’s Eve last year he became drunk and abusive to cabin crew. The court heard that he and a friend had begun to drink their own vodka and proceeded to become disruptive and fight each other.

The Mirror reports that when told by crew to stop drinking, he told them to ‘f*** off’ and became threatening. The flight was forced to land in Bristol, where he was arrested by British police. The early landing cost Ryanair €6,000 with the court adding the fine to Lennon’s sentence.
