A 25-yr-old female teacher is due to be sentenced in Dublin today for having sex with a 16-yr-old male student in 2017 when she was 23.
She met the student in nightclub, chatted on snapchat and met him on his 16th birthday and had sex with him.
According to RTE, it was heard in court that she thought the age of consent was 16 but that she accepts responsibility.
She has since been disqualified as being a teacher and is on the sex offenders’ register.
The 16-yr-old student at the time, claims he suffers from stress and migraines, and feels under pressure from the ordeal.
The woman is due to be sentenced in court later today.
