A baby boy currently remains in critical condition in hospital after he and his mother were stabbed at a house in the UK.
According to Sky News, the 3-week-old baby and his 21-year-old mother were stabbed during an incident at a house in Wallsend, North Tyneside, on Wednesday afternoon.
It is understood the boy’s mother also sustained life-threatening injuries during the attack, however her condition has been described as serious but stable.
Police investigating the incident say a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder.
They added that the incident is not being considered as a random attack as all three people involved in the incident are known to each other.
