A 3-year-old girl survived the Thailand nursery massacre because she was covered by a blanket as she slept, leading the attacker to think she was already dead.
The child, named Paweenuch Supolwong, slept as a gunman massacred 36 people, including 24 young children, at a care facility in the small town of Uthai Sawan on Thursday.
The perpetrator was quickly identified as a former police officer who had been dismissed due to drug charges. He killed himself after the attack.
