Violence in the UK capital continues unabated with five people being shot and eight stabbed in 48 hours of bloodshed over the past weekend.
Shootings occurred in Brixton, Croydon and Hackney, while there were stabbings in Hackney, Harlesden, Islington, Southwark and Holburn MyLondonNews has reported.
London has seen increasing violence and anti-social behaviour in recent years and in 2019 the city recorded 149 homicides while this year numerous videos have emerged on social media showing police fleeing gangs of revellers defying the Covid-19 lockdown and Black Lives Matter protestors.
