Independence Day is getting marked around the United States today. It’s a federal holiday commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the country on July 4, 1776.
Celebrations will see fireworks, family reunions, barbecues, parades, picnics and parties including President Trump who will be a “Salute to America” event.
It’s understood that the event will include military flyovers, a speech by President Trump and commemoration of fallen soldiers.
President Trump tweeted: “Our July 4th Salute to America at the Lincoln Memorial is looking to be really big. It will be the show of a lifetime!”
With a follow up tweet of “Big 4th of July in D.C. Salute to America.”
