A deep sinkhole appeared overnight in a green area of Cahereen Heights housing estate, Castleisland, Co. Kerry.
The hole, five metres deep and 13 metres long, was cordoned off for the safety of the estate’s residents.
Officials from the County Council attended the scene to investigate. The hole is reportedly located near underground flooodwater storage tanks.
