A man 50 year old man has sadly died following an accident at a steel plant in Co Roscommon. The tragic accident happened in Ballaghaderreen at approximately 11am on Friday morning. It is understood that a pile of steel fell on top of him.
The man was quickly airlifted to Galway University Hospital where he tragically died a short time afterwards. Gardai say the scene has been preserved and the Health and Safety Authority are currently investigating.
