It has been reported that an extra 700 jobs will be created in the construction industry in 2016 as there will be seven new courthouses being built or refurbished across the country.
The announcement comes as Government ministers signed the final paper work for the construction of four new courthouses and the refurbishment of three others. It is believed there will be three new courts houses built in Drogheda, Letterkenny and Limerick City respectively. Whilst there will be major refurbishments of four courts in Waterford, Mullingar and Wexford Town.
The entire project will cost in the region of €135m to complete with work expected to start next spring.
