Appeal continues for witnesses after fatal crash in Donegal

Following a collision in Donegal’s Buncrana Pier early yesterday morning, a man in his 80s has passed away, reports RTE.

After a multi-agency search and rescue effort, the automobile was pulled from the water, and the guy was discovered dead inside.

Yesterday morning at about 7.30am, emergency services and the Gardaí were summoned to the pier due to an automobile submerged in water, reports RTE.

After being found, the man’s body was sent to Letterkenny University Hospital for a post-mortem assessment.

All local roads have been restored to traffic, according to Gardaí, after a technical assessment of the situation at Buncrana Pier and Swilly Road was finished.

They’re also pleading for anyone who saw this event to get in touch with them, reports RTE.
