A 9-year-old boy helped prevent a thief from stealing his family’s car by hitting him with an iPad. Hasnain Muratab used the tablet as a weapon after a teenage thief got into his family’s Toyota SUV on Sunday in Chicago and started driving.
Hasain and his sister Imama (16) were in the car with their younger brother Ayesha (4) while their parents picked up pizza from a nearby domino. Imam also took part in the fightback and put her arm around the thief’s neck as he sat in the driver’s seat and started driving away.
Imama told WGN: “I started shouting at him, “Who are you? Get out of the car!”
“Thirty seconds into the call, the dude just hopped out of the car.”
It’s understood that police questioned up to five young men in a nearby car but no arrest have been made.
The children’s parents were relieved but happy with their brave kids.
