The human remains found at farmland in north Glasgow yesterday were formally identified as missing Irish student Karen Buckley.
Today, a 21-year-old man is due to appear in court in connection with the case.
Karen had vanished last Sunday, after a night out in the city. She was last spotted on CCTV talking to a man. Her disappearance sparked a massive search involving police divers, trained dogs, and specialist divers. The search sadly ended on Wednesday, with the grim discovery of human remains at a farm in the outskirts of the city.
A 21-year-old man was arrested in relation to the event, and will make a brief appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
