Northern Ireland got their first points at Euro 2016 with a 2-0 win over Ukraine in Lyon this evening.
Michael O’Neill’s men got off the mark with a much deserved win when Gareth McCauley and McGinn added a second late on.
The North who dominated most of the possession throughout took the lead McCauley scored with a bullet header early in the second half, Ukraine who rarely threatened were well beaten by a Northern Ireland side who were determined to keep their last 16 hopes alive.
Northern Ireland now face Germany in their last group match still with a chance to make the last 16.
