The Health Regulatory Authority have announced today that a quantity of Epipens have been recalled due to a defect.
It is understood the devices which are used to treat allergic reactions, have been recalled due to a fault with their injector.
The HRA say the affected pens are 300 microgramme pre-filled pens, with an expiry date of May 2017 and lot number 5FA6655G.
Uses are being urged to return their pen to their pharmacy if affected, the HRA say all replacement pens will be issued free of charge.
