The University of Oxford is carrying out extensive work to find an effective drug to combat covid-19. The Univeristy say that their work is “progressing well” but there are no guarantees at the moment.
Plans are now in place to roll out a corronavirus vaccine to 30 million UK residents by September if that trials are successful, the UK government have said.
The news comes as the UK announced a further 170 deaths of people with coronavirus, a number that’s the lowest since the day after lockdown began.
