Six French Aid workers have lost their lives in a brutal gun attack in Niger, West Africa.
According to the BBC, the group were ambushed by gunmen on motorcycles while visiting the Koure National
Park, a wildlife reserve popular with tourists for its herds of wild giraffes.
Alongside the French citizens, a local guide and driver also lost their lives. Although it is currently unclear who is responsible for the atrocity, Niger’s increasing problems with jihadism have led many to believe in a terrorism motive.
