Storm Emma has left many people grounded across the country as difficult weather conditions has made travelling to work impossible, but for medical personnel this problem is a real issue as they have to travel in the adverse weather conditions in order to care for patients.
However as many medical professionals across the country battle their way through the elements, one Co Offaly hotel decided to carryout a good deed by offering their rooms to staff working at the Midland Regional Hospital.
According to The Offaly Express newspaper, The Bridge House Hotel Tullamore decided to open its doors to staff working today in order to cut out any potentially dangerous travelling conditions for hospital staff.
Speaking to the paper the hotel said they will continue to offer rooms to staff who are trying desperately to make their way to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the hotel also said rooms will be on offer to those working at the hospital until the weather conditions improve.
