In Memory of Ellen, Do the Flora Mini Marathon 2nd June 2014 2pm

Hello everyone my name is Moira from Collon, Co. Louth. I’m looking for ladies to do the Flora Mini Marathon in Dublin 2nd of June at 2.00pm. This is my fourth Mini Marathon and raising money for the charity “A Little Lifetime Foundation “(www.isands.ie ). I personally do the Mini Marathon for the atmosphere of beening in the crowd waiting to start and raising money for charity brings me satisfaction at end of the day.  I’m also doing the Marathon in memory of my daughter Ellen, as it would have been her 5th birthday in May I thought this would be a nice way in which to honour her memory. The charity A Little Lifetime Foundation gave me hope when I needed it most.

The Flora Mini Marathon is open online and in Evening Herald from 19th February). The Mini Marathon is 10k (6.2 miles), ladies you can enter as a walker, jogger, fast jogger, runner, elite runner.  To get the medal at end of Marathon race number must be on t-shirt.  If you have any queries about the Mini Marathon go to (www.florawomensminimarathon.ie), the website will give you training tips, diet and recipes, race information and loads more.

To join my Mini Marathon group on facebook group type in “In memory of Ellen, do the Flora Mini Marathon 2nd June 2014 2pm  , this page is open to the public so join away  if in the Drogheda, Collon , Ardee area .

If I can get enough Ladies, I can organise a bus, t-shirts + sponsorship card to the Mini Marathon. I’ll keep updating event page with news concerning the event.  Plus ladies at the end of the day you get the satisfaction of raising money for charity, a medal at the end of the day and doing something different on a bank holiday weekend.

I would recommend doing a gym class, exercising at home or go walking to build up your fitness level for the day.

  Course route.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope you can join me on the day.
