A man was killed after being hit by an approaching train in an unprovoked attack in San Diego on New Year’s Day, police said.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect, who fled on foot after the 6:15 a.m. attack. Saturday, San Diego police said in a statement.
The victim and suspect got off a southbound tram at Altstadt station and walked down the platform when the suspect pushed the man unprovoked into the oncoming train, police said.
The man collided with a passing train and died with an investigation launched, police said.
