The Government have been slammed once again after further images have appeared on social media showing a 5-year-old boy sitting on a crate outside a homeless shelter in Dublin city centre.
In quite frankly shocking and heartbreaking photos shared by the the Feed Our Homeless charity, the young boy named as Sam is seen sitting on a crate in his school uniform waiting for his dinner.
The images which were shared on Facebook have been described as a national disgrace and clearly highlights the worst ever homeless crisis to hit the State.
In a heartfelt post Feed Our Homeless said the situation is becoming ever more common and the overall situation is getting worse rather than better.
The charity which was handing out meals on Thursday evening, wrote that no child should be ever put in this situation which is a national shame.
They added that the Government’s housing policies have completely failed and there seems to be no political will to address the crisis.
The charity also stated that it is shocking, shameful and disgraceful that there is currently 4,000 children homeless and 10,000 people overall homeless on our streets.
