A number of news outlets say “their sources” tell them Gardai believe Finglas sexual assault attacker was “Irish and not a migrant” – however still no description released




A number Of newspapers are claiming that the attack on a young woman that happened in Finglas last Friday night was carried out by an Irish man and not a migrant.

Without any evidence, they are saying that they have sources telling them that the Gardaí have ruled out that it was a migrant.

These “sources” allegedly told them that the Gardaí have ruled out that it was a migrant and that the Gardai are working off a direct line of inquiry.

However it must be noted that the Gardaí have not officially released any description of the attackers, so many on social media are claiming this to be fake news from these outlets, unless a detailed description from Gardai is released to prove otherwise.

Meanwhile, concerned Finglas residents are demanding answers from gardai and local politicians as to why no description of alleged attackers have been released to the public after allegedly raping a young woman on her way home.

Gardai are investigating an alleged sexual assault against a young woman on a street in the capital.

The attack is believed to have occurred on Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin, in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to a source, she had been accompanied on her way home when the alleged attack took place.

To date, Gardai has not made any arrests related to the alleged incident.

It’s understood that Gardaí are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning 27th January 2023. No arrests have been made and no description of the attackers have been released to the public.
