A number of people are still coming into Ireland to holiday via the ferry

A number of people from the UK are still making their way to Ireland via the completely open ports for a holiday in Ireland.

Easter is normally a very busy time for such holidaymakers to come enjoy a break in the Emerald Isle, but with the coronavirus restrictions both in the UK and Ireland, this year is most different.

It’s understood that flights have been reduced by some 95% but that some people are still taking chances and driving their campervans over from the UK to Ireland trying to escape being stopped by either the UK police or the gardai.

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar acknowledged that he was aware of a small number of people still coming into Ireland via the ports.
