A reported surge in Covid-19 infections prompts the introduction of visiting restrictions at Cork hospital

A reported surge in Covid-19 infections has prompted the introduction of visiting restrictions at a Cork hospital.

It is understood that people can only visit patients at the Mercy University Hospital (MUH) between 6-8pm, and then only if they’re free of any symptoms of the common cold.

Hospital authorities have also said that the Mercy’s A&E is experiencing ‘high demand.’
