In an extraordinarily horrible incident, Dublin city council did one of the worst acts our capital has seen in a long time.
They destroyed a homeless shelter pod outside the Dail on Molesworth St.
Around 7am this morning, the council gave literally 5 minutes warning to homeless man Columb Fogarty who was living in the pod for the last while.
Columb believes that the Dail reconvening yesterday is the reason for the demolition of his dwelling.
Speaking to Lovin Dublin today, Columb said he was disappointed and was barely given 5 minutes warning to collect his belongings before losing his shelter.
Many people on social media are voicing their complaints with one man saying:
“What a joke this is, help the man for goodness sake. The council barely work as the best of times and now they do this? What a cheek they have”.
