Social media is a wonderful thing, it really is, but sometimes people take it much too far and today is one of those days.
Tragically a person, believed to be female, lost their lives on a slip road on the M50 today leaving for Finglas.
The road is closed after the fatal crash which happened approximately 11:30am. The crash at junction 5 involved a truck and a car.
Since this afternoon a very disturbing and disgraceful video of the crash scene before emergency services arrived at the scene was being shared around social media.
Members of The Liberal team saw the video early this afternoon with one reporter receiving it on a whatsapp message.
The video is 8 seconds long with text reading “F**k me that’s bad”.
Upon deleting the video, we then were notified that it was being shared on SnapChat and various other platforms.
Please, if you receive this video – for curiosty to the deceased and their family, just delete it immediately and do not watch it. If you see it being shared, report it immediately.
