A 3-yr-old girl has tragically died this evening after being fatally injured in a major road crash on the M20 near Patrickswell, Co Limerick.
She was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick but later died from her injuries.
Three cars were involved in the collision which occurred at 4:45pm
The motorway is closed between the Adare and Patrickswell interchanges and diversions are currently in place.
It’s not known the full extent of the conditions of the other travellers, but it us believed the young child is in the most serious condition.
