The HSE has released figures claiming to show that almost 2,000 people are registering per day to get vaccinated.
Currently 72% of those in ICU are over the age of 50. 25% are between the age of 19 to 49 while just 2% of those in ICU are aged under 18.
It’s understood that 48% of people in ICU have been double vaccinated or received their first vaccine. It’s understood that 58% of pregnant women have received a vaccine.
There’s been a hard push by the government, NPHET and the HSE for those who did not want to get vaccinated to get the jab, however many people who haven’t already been vaccinated, for whatever reason say that they’ll never get jabbed.
