Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn calls on the public to reduce contacts in order to stem the spread of Covid-19




The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has called on the public to reduce their number of contacts in order to stem the spread of Covid-19.

Speaking at the NPHET briefing, Dr Glynn said now was a critical time in stopping the spread of the virus and called on the public to reduce their contacts.

Dr Glynn said that we are at a stage if cases continue to rise there will be inevitably that the number of people being hospitalised will significantly rise.

The acting Chief Medical Officer called on the public to limit there number of contacts and to reduce the number of people visiting their homes.

He added just because someone you know looks well and feels well doesn’t mean they’re covid free.
