Aer Lingus have urged the “arrive early” advice to people to be scrapped as it’s causing delays

Some 7 weeks ago, videos emerged of long queues forming around Dublin Airport that saw people waiting for hours to get through security.

Along with that, many people missed their flights as a result of the disgraceful queues.

Aer Lingus have told an Oireachtas Committee on Transport that the advice for people to arrive early should be scrapped as it’s causing backlogs for people who arrive on time for a later flight.

The airline say that they’re prepared for upcoming bank holiday week but that remains to be seen.
