Aer Lingus to permanently close its cabin crew base at Shannon Airport

Aer Lingus has announced its intention to permanently close its cabin crew base at Shannon Airport.

The move comes after a disastrous year in terms of revenue, forcing the struggling airline to cut costs.

A total of 81 people are affected. It is understood that they will be offered relocation to Dublin, or an ‘enhanced’ severance package.
