Ajmal Amani, an Afghani refugee who had served as an interpreter for US special forces was shot dead by police officers in San Francisco.
Amani was wielding a large kitchen knife and shouting “Allahu akbar” as he ran towards police. He later died of his wounds.
He was shot multiple times with a handgun and beanbag projectiles and died of his wounds. According to PJmedia.com, Amani had previously threatened to kill a man in his residential hotel with the same large kitchen knife.
