Ireland’s Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly appears to be the one that’s pushing for more restrictions to be put in place.
Donnelly has said that it’s now likely that the list of countries will grow from the current number of 7 that sees people have to quarantine at in their homes if they arrive in Ireland.
Today, the option for hotel quarantine being introduced once again will be put on the table but that would need new legislation to be passed in the Dail.
It’s understood that Dr Tony Holohan will meet with the government later this evening.
