AIB has announced a reduction of 0.25pc in its mortgage rates from July.
This reduction, however, will only apply AIB customers. Rates for EBS and Haven mortgage holders will remain the same.
It is estimated that about 76,000 mortgage account holders will benefit from the new lower variable rate.
