Airbnb saying that they’re to prevent so-called rioters who stormed the Capitol from returning to the Washington DC area for the presidential inauguration this week.
Airbnb says it will review all reservations in the Washington area, and anyone who has logged into a hate group will have their reservation cancelled and be banned from Airbnb. The company also said it was cracking down on those involved in criminal activity on Capitol Hill, including a permanent ban on the platform.
Airbnb did not specify what steps would be taken outside of the bans. It’s seen a somewhat pointless endeavour as most people’s social media are quite private.
