Good news for consumers today, as energy provider Airtricity has announced a reduction in prices from the month of April onwards.
According to the company, the reduction will save dual fuel customers an average of €58 in their bills, and Pay-As-You-Go customers will save an average of €55.
Prices will be reduced both for new and existing customers by 4% for natural gas, and 2% for electricity. This price cut will apply to around 440,000 SSE Airtricity household customers.
Airtricity’s statement follows last week’s announcement by Bord Gáis that it is cutting unit prices both for gas and electricity.
