The All Ireland football final is a special occasion with tickets being eagerly sought after, but in a rather bizarre case of over charging two tickets for the showpiece final between Dublin and Mayo on Sunday week a pair of tickets are selling for more than €1,000 on eBay.
According to the Irish Times The eBay seller, claimed that his tickets are that much in demand that he has a“legitimate” bid of €1,105 for the pair of tickets for the upper Hogan Stand.
The seller claims the €80 tickets are selling for “the best price offered”. To make matters more bizarre the current top bid on the tickets currently sands at a massive price of €74,000. However given the high bid on the tickets, the seller believes there are a couple of false bids being placed by over eager buyer.
The seller said: “I believe there are false bids on my tickets, if you want to buy them contact me directly on my email.”
“I will be selling these tickets tonight (Tuesday) so if you are serious about them then make me an offer and I will sell to highest offer, will come back to offers made tonight. Tickets will be available to collect on Friday in Dublin.”
