There was some sad news announced recently as an Irish athlete is in critical condition in hospital after sustaining serious head injuries in a fall in Poland.

The athlete Ailish Sheehan, (23), from Kildimo, Co Limerick, suffered serious head injuries after falling on a footpath just hours after celebrating winning a Bronze medal at the FISU World University Rowing Championships.
