All flights between Ireland and the US have been cancelled this weekend due to a massive snow storm currently crossing the American east coast.
In total, over 7,000 domestic and international flights were cancelled.
The severity of the storm is such that a state of emergency has been declared in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, New Jersey and parts of other states. So far, nine people have reportedly been killed in the blizzard, which is expected to leave up to 2ft of snow in most parts.
Spokespeople for several airlines have said that they hope to restore a full flight schedule by Sunday afternoon.
