Trolley Watch (INMO), a service provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, shows that 586 individuals are on trolleys in Irish hospitals this morning, reports Breaking News.

On Tuesday morning, there were 586 admitted patients who were awaiting beds.

Out of them, 197 are in hospital wards and 389 are in the emergency room waiting to be seen.

University Hospital of Limerick is the hospital with the most overcrowding, with 71 patients waiting for beds, followed by Cork University Hospital, reports Breaking News.

Patients who have been admitted to acute hospitals but are awaiting a bed are counted by the INMO Trolley Watch.

These patients may be treated on seats, in waiting rooms, or just about anywhere there’s space, although they are frequently treated on trolleys in hallways. Trolley Watch was initiated by the INMO in 2004, reports Breaking News.
