It has been reported this evening Ambulance staff nationwide have voted in favour of industrial action in a dispute over working conditions.
According to SIPTU 92% of Ambulance staff have voted in favour of industrial action. The Union has said the Minister for Health and HSE have now been notified of their plans, although they cannot guarantee ambulance services will not be disrupted or suspended during the period of industrial action.
Meanwhile SIPTU Health Division Organiser, Paul Bell said: “Unfortunately, our members have no option but to implement a campaign of industrial action.”
