According to a latest poll conducted by Newstalk, a staggering two thirds of people have revealed they have known others to drive over the legal alcohol limit.
The shocking poll also shows that almost a quarter of Irish men think they have gotten behind the wheel whilst over the limit. The survey which included just over 1,000 people found that one in four people said they were a passenger in a car driven by someone over the limit.
Meanwhile 77% of people said they believe drink driving is more common in rural areas.
