American actor Max Wright has passed away aged 75.
Wright had a long career in television, having starred in popular series like Cheers, Murphy Brown, and Quantum Leap, but he was perhaps best known for his role as William Tanner, the father figure of the Tanner family in the much-loved 80s sitcom Alf.
The actor passed away from cancer-related complications at the age of 75, two years after his wife died also from cancer.
