In an absolutely disastrous interview on tonight’s Late Late Show, the public’s confidence in the gardai has been completely decimated.
I say it was a disastrous interview because the three panelists, the GRA President and former Dublin Mayor Christie Burke said an gardai are completely undertrained, underarmed and have little to no training in advanced driving skills and out of their depth facing gun crime.
The recent spates of gangland crime have allegedly sunk all morale in the police force in Ireland.
New recruits are paid €23,000 and are facing an ever increasing era of gangland fueled violent crime.
The public’s level of sympathy for the gardai has shimmered however given the bad publicity surrounding the gardai over the Irish water fiasco.
