There was some good announced or some 1.2 million Electric Ireland customers recently as the company announced that bills will be cut by 6% this coming summer.
The proposed new cuts will see customers saving on average €57.75. The welcome news was revealed by the companies Executive director Jim Dollard who said: “It means the average annual residential bill for our customers will have reduced by more than €100 over the last 19 months.”
The restructuring of billing comes after the company’s parent company ESB revealed they have had a successful year last year, reporting profits of €630m.
